Eimear Zone

The elegant No course

Eimear first reached out to me as she was putting an online course together. She originally commissioned me to design a brand identity that would cohesively represent both the online course and her overarching company.

As we worked through my process, it expanded into many of the marketing pieces she eventually needed for both the course and the business.

As I do with all my brand identity clients, we started by defining the deeper meaning behind her brand — clarifying her vision, understanding her ideal audience, and identifying the emotional response she wanted to evoke.

This foundational phase establishes a clear strategic direction and served as a consistent point of reference as I developed a visual identity that extended into the broader marketing.

This  gives the professional presence she needed and the option to use the same logo lock up design for further courses down the road.

It is also here that you see how both the typography system and color palette work together to create the look and feel of the brand designed specifically with the foundational tone in mind.

Step two

In Eimear’s case she came to me with beautiful professional photography already done. I used the photography as a jumping off point and built the brand identity to compliment it while keeping in mind the tone of the brand from the foundational stage.

Every project goes a little bit different depending on the clients primary needs and the assets they currently have. With the Elegant No course being priority, the first marketing piece she requested was to design slides for the course to be used between and during her videos.

It is here that you really start to see how the brand identity comes to life and works together. I designed the course logo to lock up nicely with the company logo.

The Process

Step three

Beginning with the Homepage, I designed both a desktop and mobile version. Here’s why… As you can see, they are similar. However, horizontal layouts don’t seamlessly translate to vertical ones. Being specific with these details is important because the end user needs clarity. If the user can’t quickly understand or engage with the content, they will just skip right by it.

The next marketing piece chosen was the website.

Originally Eimear had been working with a web designer, but when the visual direction wasn’t aligning with the brand identity, she asked me to step in to art direct. This is not uncommon. While many web designers excel in functionality, they can sometimes struggle to fully translate a brand’s visual identity into the cohesive and consistent brand look that all of their marketing requires.

The course page

When the layout flows well, it naturally leads the eye where it needs to go, making it easy for visitors to find what they’re looking for and feel confident they’re in the right place.

The right use of spacing, hierarchy, and alignment creates a rhythm — almost like a conversation between your brand and your audience — where nothing feels overwhelming and everything feels intentional.

I took the same approach when creating The Elegant No course page.

A good webpage layout isn’t just about making something look pretty — it’s about shaping the way people feel and interact with your brand the moment they land on your site.

In our fast-moving digital world, where users decide in seconds whether to stay or leave, a strong layout can be the difference between a fleeting glance and a meaningful conversion.

Good layout reinforces brand perception.

A clean, intentional structure communicates professionalism, trustworthiness, and clarity, while a cluttered or inconsistent one can undermine credibility before a single word is read.

The next marketing touchpoint I developed was a series of Facebook banners, each tailored to highlight one of three distinct groups she was actively promoting.

Lead Magnet

The final piece in the project was a lead magnet designed to welcome new subscribers into her world.

A downloadable PDF fit seamlessly with her audience’s preferences. The cover was crafted to command attention in a digital setting while being equally refined for effortless, high-quality printing at home.

The digital format also opened the door to a richer experience, with embedded links woven throughout to guide readers toward their next step—whether that was diving into an article, exploring the homepage, or enrolling in a course.

Every link was placed with intention, helping to move her audience forward in a way that was natural and supportive.

Our brains register visuals first. With consumers needing 7–10 interactions before they feel comfortable buying from a brand, each piece of marketing becomes an opportunity to strengthen familiarity and reinforce the brand’s presence in their mind.

What

is ultimately about

Each of these marketing initiatives illustrate the deliberate consistancy of the Eimear Zone brand identity. The intention here is that every time a person goes to a piece of the Eimear Zone marketing, they know it is Eimear Zone, without ever reading a word.

She is the partner you need.

The biggest benefit of working with Katie was that she is so thorough in ensuring she understood my vision as the client. I felt very understood and that the vision was expressed in the branding in ways that really resonated for me but which I would never have thought of myself.

I loved working with her and got so much more than I could have hoped for. The ease of communication, the attention to detail, the variety of options that she offered were all above and beyond. I think very early I just had the sense that I was in expert hands and that initial sense was validated over and over again. I knew I didn't have to help the process along -— I felt understood early so the design options all the way along just required more minor tweaks and a little feedback before the finished product was there.

Let’s get started.

I’d love to help bring your next project to life.
